THE ESCAPE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
After Christmas 2023, Pyotr did something no one had planned: he escaped the decorations box and remained on display. What followed was not an immediate intelligence service, but a chain reaction — new traditions, new alliances and, gradually, the assembly of the Nutcracker Caucus.
By 2025, the Caucus had grown into an organized Embassy operation in the Grand Republic of Hootland. Pyotr later described his escape as the event that made everything else possible: the work began quietly, then gained purpose.

A DESK BECOMES AN EMBASSY
The physical heart of the Embassy is a family desk with a history of its own. The 2025 Annual Report records that the desk belonging to Mister A’s mother forms the foundation of Embassy HQ. A photograph of Mister A’s parents displayed there serves as a daily tribute to the family whose care and creativity shaped this world.
What began as a display became command space: reports are filed here, dignitaries are received, missions are discussed, and an increasingly improbable amount of government business is conducted.
It is also the center of one of the Embassy’s most important traditions: nightly bopping. The Spycrackers, joined by specially invited guests and dignitaries, gather to bop together each evening. The ritual is part social gathering, part cultural program and part morale operation — and has become one of the defining rhythms of Embassy life.

Hootland predates the Spycrackers by decades. Its history travels with the household, and the Embassy operates as the Nutcracker Caucus’s diplomatic mission within that much older republic.

FIELD CHRONOLOGY
THE REPUBLIC BEGINS
Owlbert Peter-Plump Hoot arrives, beginning the story that grows into the Grand Republic of Hootland.
KNOXVILLE ERA
Hootland’s first long-term home and the foundation of its earliest institutions and traditions.
NASHVILLE MIGRATION
The Republic moves through Donelson and the first Nashville house before establishing its current Bellevue era.
BELLEVUE ERA
Hootland establishes the modern home territory where the Nutcracker Embassy will later emerge.
PYOTR ESCAPES
Following Christmas, Pyotr refuses the decorations box. The event becomes the origin point for the Caucus.
THE EMBASSY EXPANDS
The Caucus formalizes its public presence, Pyotr becomes the first nutcracker to appear on television, and the Annual Report is filed at Embassy Operations.
LAND, AIR & WATER*
The Embassy expands into marine operations. Pyotr assumes ceremonial dock authority while Pewter evaluates technical possibilities aboard the new asset.
